Cruise Shuttle & Getting Around

The PAE Cruise Shuttle Bus operates on select arrival dates. This service provides an excellent opportunity for passengers who aren't part of pre-organised tours to explore the attractions, experiences, and businesses of Port Adelaide & Coast.

The shuttle will depart every 30 minutes from the Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal and takes approximately 15 minutes to get to Semaphore and 20 minutes to get to Port Adelaide.

The shuttle is free for cruise passengers and crew. Please note that this is not a guided tour experience.

Getting Around & Public Transport

Walking

Close to the Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal are a few places of interest within walking distance, perfect if you’re not planning on venturing too far. All distances and times are one way.

  • Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal to Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron – 750 metres, mostly flat walk, approximately 10 - 12 minutes.
  • Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal to North Haven Golf Club – 850 metres, mostly flat walk, approximately 10 - 12 minutes.
  • Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal to Gulf Point Centre and Sailmaster Tavern at North Haven Marina – 1.4 kilometres, mostly flat walk, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal to North Haven Shopping Centre – 2.8 kilometres, mostly flat walk, approximately 40 minutes.

Train – Outer Harbor line

The train line that runs from the Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal is the Outer Harbor train line. It runs from Outer Harbor to the Adelaide CBD. It's a 45-minute train ride to the city from Outer Harbor.

To get around locally with the Port Adelaide and Coast region here’s a quick snapshot of the main spots and the best train stops to access them.

North Haven Shopping Centre: disembark at the Osborne Railway Station.

Largs Bay: disembark at the Largs Bay Railway Station.

Semaphore: disembark at the Glanville Railway Station.

Port Adelaide: disembark at the Port Adelaide Railway Station.

Alberton: disembark at the Alberton Railway Station.

Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal: disembark at the Outer Harbor Railway Station.

The train runs approximately every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 60 minutes on weekends. You can pay for a ticket onboard using your credit/debit card.
